My name is Rodney Johnson, and I am asking for your vote to serve as a board member of Rocky Creek Estates. My family and I moved to Rocky Creek in the fall of 2017, we thoroughly enjoy the community. I am a Regional Sales Manager for Principal Financial Group and have experience in leadership, budgeting, strategic planning, and public speaking. In my past experiences, I served as a Board Member for Houston Texas Association of Sports Officials and Arrow Child and Family Ministries. Additionally, my wife and I have actively served the Harris County Foster Care community for 14 years and in 2018 started a non-profit called Entrusted Houston aimed at achieving permanency for every child in our area.

Hello, my name is Allen Rollins. I am in the oil and gas business and have traveled the world helping oil companies solve problems and help with crisis situations. While doing this I have always approached my work with being levelheaded and being calm during hectic situations.  I have lived in Rocky Creek Estates for over 4 years now. I am currently up for reelection for the POA board. During my little time here I have seen this small neighborhood grow extensively. I believe we have some work to do to better this community. I will continue to do my best and fight for what is best for everyone in this neighborhood.

Hi, I’m Ben Sigmund, and my wife (Ashley) and I moved to Rocky Creek Estates in the middle of 2015.  Ashley is a teacher at Roberts Road Elementary School, and I’m the Software Engineering Director at AmRisc LLC, a subsidiary of Truist Financial Corporation.  We’re active members of local church start-up, Church Story (Cypress, TX), and we frequently volunteer at Community of Faith (Hockley, TX) and in the Williams Syndrome Association’s STX Region.  After 8 years of living in RCE, I would say we continue to love living here as much as we did on the first day that we moved in – it just feels better than a ‘regular neighborhood’!  Over the years, one of the things I’ve enjoyed most about watching our community grow, is how we’ve generally stayed ‘fit for purpose’ – focusing on what the majority agree is necessary change, while preserving some of the things that make RCE better than any other neighborhood I’ve lived in.  I believe our needs, as a community, were more limited in the earlier days, but as those demands have grown [with the local economy, broader scope of stakeholders, etc..], so too has our approach and scale with respect to community affairs – and to me, that trend is in line with what I would expect.  I’ve spent more than 24 years leading people and helping organizations figure out the right problems to solve, and if I’m elected, I will draw on that experience with a level head and a lack of tolerance for politics – I will simply vote for and speak to what I believe is the right thing to do in each situation, and then I’ll respect the decisions that are made in accordance with our bylaws (be that by property owner vote or board decision).  If you feel like you and I would agree on more than we don’t, then I’d sure appreciate your vote!
